    2011 Boatzart Concert

    presents

    The Gillie Wheesels

This free concert, a staple of Baywood's entertainment schedule, features The Gillie Wheesels, a Scottish Band with Bagpipes. Dust off your kilt, bring your kayak or short lawnchair, and enjoy a great day by the bay. A high tide of 3'9" peaks around 12:30, but don't dally, the concert fills up every year, both by land and by sea. (apologies to Sarah Palin and Paul Revere)

Concert is sponsored by The Baywood Navy and The Back Bay Inn.

    Baywood Ukulele Social Club

An informal “meet and greet” – or “come and strum” – marks the launch of the Baywood Ukulele Social Club every Sunday, 4 p.m., at the Back Bay Café.

The club requires no experience or membership fee, just an interest in playing ukulele. “You’re invited to join the ukulele revolution,” said Jim D’Ville, organizer, music facilitator and author of the “Play Ukulele By Ear” DVD series. “The club is a great fit for an eclectic, creative community like ours.”

For those without a uke to dust off, a loaner ukulele or two will be available for the meeting. For more information, email dville@teleport.com, call 503-200-9584 or visit playukulelebyear.blogspot.com.
